The Community Fridge installed by us including the one in conjunction with the Rotary Club of North End is accessed by many needy and poor people.
Free Classes For The Underprivileged
Yet again the VWA conducted FREE Classes for underprivileged children. We are grateful to the funds received from CSR scheme of Thyrocare and this year also we have received funds from them.
Clothes Project
VWA successfully organized one more cloth project at Shree Chhatrapati Shivaji Mahraj Smarak Mandal at DN Nagar on 20th October 2019.
Senior Citizen Helpline
Having read about various articles on the helpless situation of Elderly citizens living alone who have been either abandoned by their children or of couples whose children are living abroad.
Talk On Alzheimer
During the Alzheimer week, we had organized seminar to enlighten people on the causes, side effects and remedial measures for Alzheimer disease.
Free Medical Camp
The Versova Welfare Association in conjunction with Lions International, District 323/1, A-3, had arranged a FREE Medical camp.
Documentary On Usage Of Plastic
On the 5th of January 2020, the association had arranged a get together for poor kids and during the gathering.
Sanitization
The association had underatken a project of sanitizing the common areas of the buildings on a payment of a nominal amount 150.
VWA during the Pandemic
We had purchased 21,000 masks embossed with the name of our association and the same was distributed free of cost to needy people.
Food & medicine distribution during Pandemic
During the pandemic we have distributed 500 food packets for 12 days at several places to the needy persons.
